Asumani Guloba
Defacto Director/ Nominee Board Member
Dr. Asumani Guloba is a former World Bank Economist for both Uganda and Zambia; and holds a PhD and MA Economics from Dar Es Salaam University. He is currently the Head of the Planning and Research desk at the National Planning Authority of Uganda; and he leads the formulation of the country's 5-year National Development Plans which form the fulcrum of the country's vision, development programme
and budgetary focus.
He was previously a Principal Economist for the Parliament of Uganda and also takes time to lecture at the School of Economics at Makerere University. He has participated in several studies at Academic, Business and Public sector levels; including providing Expertise in the Uganda LPG Promotion, Supply and Infrastructure Intervention studies.
He is a member of the Africa Economic Research Consortium, Member of the International Institute of Public Finance Economists (IIPF), among a host of other well regarded global and International institutes. He provides the board with a national economic and policy perspective to guide it in formulating strategic plans, as well as anticipate potential negative trends for business posterity.
